About Tammy Cook
I read a lot. A lot. Like a smoker, I take my first hit when I wake up. Then I can function, focus, and get to work. Generally, that involves some reading, so I can make it through all the way until lunchtime before I need another cigarette - erm, excuse me, another chapter that is. I have a reading break in the afternoon. And of course I read before bed. Not to mention any other reading time I can sneak in throughout the day - while waiting at offices, before meetings, or (yes! I confess! so sue me!) at stoplights. Actually, it’s very convenient reading at stoplights, because a horn automatically goes off once the light changes, to tell me it’s time to proceed. It would probably be handy to have that honk at home too, so I wouldn’t burn dinner quite so frequently… Ah, in a perfect world.
The books I’m reviewing here are books I’d recommend. Yes, I read a lot of schlock and I’m not afraid to admit it, or to say a book sucks. But that’s not the purpose of this site. The purpose is to share books that empower, challenge, motivate, inform, or even just interest me. If you want to talk about books that suck, email me and we can do that, but I’m not wasting my time (or yours!) listing a whole bunch of books not worth your time or effort. These books are books you want to read. Now. So enough reading my profile, go find a recommendation and get reading!
About my booklist
One last thing, for those of you who’re bad at following instructions and still here. Some of you may know the one fascinating thing there is about me - I’ve kept a log of every book I’ve read since 1983. (Well, I lost 1985’s list, but I was 14 years old at the time, cut a girl some slack!) I have uploaded most of that list to Bibliophil - see that little link over there on the right and up a bit? —> Yeah, the one that says “My reading log at bibliophil” or something like that. Browse some of my reads there if you’re really that interested. (And remember, you have to read a LOT of crap to find the good stuff. I done paid my dues. The evidence speaks for itself.)
